I'm holding a hammer.
He's nailed to a cross.
As I say goodbye.
To my former boss.
My wings are burning.
Yet my heart keeps yearning.
As I turn away from all of these things.
I'll see the shadows once more.
As I unlock the last door.
To cry one more tear.
As I kill one more fear.
This is the end of strife.
As I give into life.
I see all of them fade.
Tear me away purity won't play.
Breathing this darkness alone I'll stay.
Though this life will fade with bitter age.
I'll find my way out of this cage.
And hopeless it sometimes seems.
So I write all of these dreams.
And with a kiss that says goodbye.
All of us will die.
