Above Deception

She is bitter and cold. Yet her appearance and voice are soothing and calm. She searches for love. She promises love. The men she seeks out like prey give their love to her. She uses them and abuses them. Until they can no longer take it, and then, she rips their hearts right out of their chest. She shows no more compassion, offers them no more love, and leaves them broken and with nothing but pain. They don t stand up to her, they never fight back. They all just bow and accept this fate she made real for them to endure. But there is one who did not fall. There is one who will never go away. There is one who haunts her everyday. One who loved above all others. One who s heart has endured this pain before and yet it remains strong. Such a powerful creature she is. Shame that what she never knew is that she would always be second to him.
