Shadows

Light and darkness combined create a shadow. A shadow holds no alliance to either side, for without one it could not exist. In time the shadow must choose a side. When that time comes only one side can prevail. The shadow will be gone, but left in it's place is the alliance it formed. Many would think light would be a shadows choice, for it can bring forth new shadows when it encounters darkness. However, most shadows choose darkness, they go that route because the darkness seems more comforting at the time. The darkness in appearance seems closer to the that of the shadow. Darkness can not spread as long as there is light. And even though it takes both to create a shadow, the darkness only waits for it, only to steal it. The light looks for darkness so it can destroy it, when the shadows are made from the two, its the light that protects the shadow, freeing the shadow from the darkness. The light will eventually rid all of darkness, shadows will be no more. This may be why they run to the darkness most of the time. So they can exist again one day. Still they could be free forever, if they only choose the light instead.
