Nightmares

Through light we see peace. Feeling calm and without fear we walk. Walking on this journey, one that may never end. We continue down the paths, making choices at every turn. The light follows us every where we go. Protecting us, calming us, and cleansing us. Until one day, the light disappears. Darkness overtakes us all. We are lost, we can no longer see the way. The truth is hidden now. We continue to search, but some of us can not bare the pain and fear the darkness brings. They become mad, and turn on each other. The one's who are pure inside, continue to push forward. They resist the darkness and keep walking down this path of horror. All is set in a night sky, no moon, or light of any kind. Even though they resist the darks calling, they begin to wonder how long this nightmare will last. With no more signs of light they begin to fall one by one. All but one soul still continues to push forward. The darkness is right behind him, breathing down his neck. He does not fear it anymore, he does not feel its sadness or pain. He begins to feel the same comfort from the darkness as he did the light. Then the nightmare ends....
